Elderberry & Plumb is a brand-new independent bookstore in the heart of downtown Springfield. It’s in a cute house, sharing space with another business. The parking lot is behind the building, or you can park on the street as well.
Their hours do seem a bit irregular right now, with it closing at 5:30pm on weekdays, 4pm on Saturdays and being closed on Sundays and Mondays, so be sure to check their hours before heading over. Hopefully they can expand their hours soon.
They have a wide range of genres, with at least one full bookcase dedicated to each, although they do have a room mostly dedicated to romance and dark romance as well as a big contemporary fiction section. They also have a YA nook and a children’s book room, each with cozy décor. There were also plenty of bookish items as well, such as tote bags, candles, and bookmarks.

The books ranged in prices, with some older titles being discounted from the MSRP, but new books were full price.
The workers were friendly and clearly love talking about books! It was nice to see a new business in the heart of downtown Springfield, and I hope it does well there. Go check it out and support indie booksellers!
